David BARRETT has 16 years of experience as a trainer and assessor in the aged care and disability sectors. His roles have included support worker, aged care carer, and leisure and lifestyle coordinator. He is passionate about improving clients’ quality of life and bringing smiles to their faces.
As an educator, David tailors his teaching to meet individual learners’ needs, believing that education is not a “one size fits all” process. He focuses on building both the technical skills required for caregiving and fostering empathy, resilience, and work ethic.
David’s goal is to prepare students for a successful career in healthcare, ensuring they are ready for the mental and physical demands of caregiving.
