Why Choose AUIPT for Your Career Path?

Aged Care Trainer & assessor

David BARRETT has 16 years of experience as a trainer and assessor in the aged care and disability sectors. His roles have included support worker, aged care carer, and leisure and lifestyle coordinator. He is passionate about improving clients’ quality of life and bringing smiles to their faces.

As an educator, David tailors his teaching to meet individual learners’ needs, believing that education is not a “one size fits all” process. He focuses on building both the technical skills required for caregiving and fostering empathy, resilience, and work ethic.

David’s goal is to prepare students for a successful career in healthcare, ensuring they are ready for the mental and physical demands of caregiving. Through his supportive and personalised approach, he empowers students to take their first steps toward a rewarding future in aged care and disability services.

CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing & Disability)

Looking to make a real difference in people’s lives?

Our CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing & Disability) prepares you to work in Australia’s rapidly growing aged care and disability support sectors — industries that are in high demand and offer stable, meaningful career paths.

Graduates of this course can step into rewarding roles such as Aged Care Worker, Personal Carer, Residential Support Worker, or Disability Support Worker in residential care, community care, and home care environments. These roles not only offer the chance to care for and support vulnerable people but also provide long-term job security due to Australia’s ageing population and increasing need for quality care services.

In addition, this qualification provides a clear pathway to further study, including the CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support or CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support, all the way to the CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services, allowing you to make an even greater impact within the community services sector and take your career to the next level.

To ensure students are well-prepared for the realities of the workplace, AUIPT offers a dedicated simulation room on campus, fully equipped to mimic real aged care environments. This hands-on training space allows students to practice essential skills, procedures, and scenarios in a safe, supportive setting before stepping into actual workplaces for their required work placements. This practical experience boosts confidence and ensures students feel ready and capable when they start working with real clients.

Early Childhood Trainer & assessor

Kathryn FINDLATER is a highly experienced early childhood trainer and assessor, with an impressive track record spanning 17 years. Her enthusiasm is palpable, as she passionately supports her students in their journey to become innovative and high-quality Early Childhood Educators. Committed to ensuring students have a delightful and enriching learning experience, Kathryn employs a diverse range of teaching methods, activities, and tools to captivate their attention, kindle their interest, and encourage active participation. When studying under Kathryn’s guidance, students emerge equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel as passionate and high-quality Early Childhood Educators, all within a secure and engaging learning environment.

CHC30125 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

If you have a passion for working with children and helping shape the next generation, the CHC30125 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is the perfect starting point. This qualification is more than just a course — it’s a pathway into one of the most important and fulfilling professions, where you’ll play a vital role in laying the foundation for a child’s lifelong learning, wellbeing, and development.

Early childhood educators are not just carers; they are mentors, role models, and the first teachers outside of the family who help build essential life skills such as communication, problem-solving, creativity, and social interaction. What you teach, demonstrate, and nurture during these formative years can have a lasting impact on a child’s future — making this career deeply rewarding and meaningful.

Graduates of this course can pursue roles such as Early Childhood Educator, Family Day Care Worker, Kindergarten Assistant, or Outside School Hours Care Assistant, with growing demand across Australia for qualified, compassionate educators.

This course also provides a strong pathway to the CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, which can lead to advanced positions such as Room Leader, Educational Leader, Centre Supervisor or Centre Manager — roles where you can influence curriculum development, mentor new educators, and manage early learning environments.

To ensure students are confident and well-prepared before entering actual childcare centres, AUIPT provides a purpose-built simulation room that closely resembles a real early childhood education environment. This space allows students to practice routines, engage in role-play scenarios, and develop hands-on skills in a realistic setting. By the time they go on work placement, students feel capable, comfortable, and ready to deliver high-quality care and education to young children.

At AUIPT, we believe this qualification is not just a job pathway — it’s a calling to help build the future, one child at a time.

Real-World Training with Real Opportunities

At AUIPT, training goes beyond the classroom. Our approach is hands-on, practical, and deeply connected to real industry needs. We believe that true learning happens when students are immersed in authentic environments — which is why both our courses offer structured work placement opportunities in well-established aged care centres and childcare settings.

These placements allow students to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world situations, building confidence, competence, and professional readiness. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, students engage with clients, support teams, and daily operational routines, gaining valuable insight into the expectations of the care sector.

Our partner centres consistently commend AUIPT students for their strong work ethic, adaptability, and professionalism. Many centre managers have shared how impressed they are with the practical capabilities our students demonstrate — a direct reflection of the high-quality, student-centred training provided by our expert trainers, David and Kathryn.

It’s no surprise that a significant number of students receive job offers even before completing their placements. This not only highlights the effectiveness of our training model but also speaks volumes about the trust and respect employers have for AUIPT and its graduates.
